Hi, my name is Dr. Pavel, and I am a veterinarian here. I was born right here in Brooklyn and grew up on Long Island — and I have been passionate about caring for animals for as long as I can remember.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with my girlfriend and our pug, Potato. I also love travelling, being out in nature, and reading fantasy novels.
Why I Chose This Profession
I have been working in the veterinary field since I was sixteen, starting with summer jobs cleaning kennels at my uncle's veterinary clinic. I always knew I had a passion for caretaking, helping others, and advocating for animals — and that early experience confirmed it was the path for me.
Education
I graduated from Stony Brook University with a B.S. in Biology before earning my veterinary degree at Ross University School of Veterinary Medicine.
Professional Background
My professional interests include pathology and dermatology. Nothing is more gratifying to me than bringing relief to an itchy dog or cat.
