Hi, my name is Dr. D'Onofrio, and I am a veterinarian here. I was born and raised in Brooklyn and have always had a deep love for animals — a passion that has shaped my entire career.
Personal Hobbies and Interests
In my free time, I love spending time with my dogs, Phantom and Lira — a Weimaraner and a mixed breed — and my cat, Suzy.
Why I Chose This Profession
My connection to animals started early. As a teenager, I volunteered caring for animals in a kennel — watering, feeding, and cleaning — and I never looked back. That hands-on experience confirmed that working with animals was exactly where I was meant to be.
Education
I attended Wagner College, where I majored in chemistry, before studying at St. George's University School of Veterinary Medicine in Grenada. I then returned to the U.S. to complete my degree at the Kansas State University College of Veterinary Medicine, where I earned my D.V.M.
Work History
I am a 15-year veteran of the veterinary field, having worked in virtually every facet of pet care — from kennel help to technician to doctor. Through the years, I have built lasting relationships with clients and their beloved four-legged family members.
